Mister Mayor Renovations was established in 2019 and serves Calgary homeowners looking for organized, high-quality residential renovations rather than the lowest possible price.
The company has served more than 80 clients, with much of its work coming through referrals and repeat business. David brings more than 20 years of overall hands-on experience across construction, disaster restoration, woodworking, culinary arts and other practical fields where problem-solving, pressure and coordination matter.
David has always been drawn to practical problems that require some figuring out. He enjoys unusual construction challenges, learning new methods and finding creative ways to make a space work better. That curiosity shapes the way Mister Mayor approaches renovations: understand the problem, understand why it matters to the homeowner, then work toward the right solution rather than the quickest one.
The goal is to give homeowners confidence that someone is thinking through the details: workflow, function, code, permits, licensed trades, preparation, installation methods and the long-term consequences of each decision.
Sometimes the right choice is not the fastest or cheapest one. That is part of doing the job properly.
Entry #1: When Nature Calls
On a roofing project, active bird nests were discovered near the roof edge before new soffit was installed. Rather than closing the area and trapping the birds, Mister Mayor contacted the homeowner and postponed that portion of the work until the young birds could safely leave.
This is the kind of decision-making the company wants clients to understand: responsible work sometimes means slowing down, explaining the situation and choosing the option that protects the long-term result.

In 2026, Mister Mayor raised hundreds of dollars for the Calgary Humane Society through the Dog Jog and plans to keep supporting the event year after year. It is a small reflection of a broader principle: being part of a community means showing up for it.
